Art has saved Lisa life many times. She has over 13 plus years of art and healing teaching/mentoring with Women and At-Risk populations. She developed Transformative Art Programs and art exhibitions for At-Risk Teens and Elders. Lisa holds an MFA in Arts and Consciousness in Holistic Studies Program from JFK University in Berkeley, California. She is an artist, mentor, creative life coach, educator, curator, art advocate, and animal rights advocate, who believes that art can change and heal the world. A key conceptual element of her artistic process is the study of and travel to ancient cultures and sacred sites around the world.  With her organization, Artemis Sacred Journeys, Rasmussen leads women on Empowerment Art, Yoga and Sacred Site Retreats to Greece and Hawaii. She also serves as Executive Director and Co-Founder of Art 4 All People, an international Center for arts, healing, and consciousness in Malibu, California. She co-created the new arts and healing practice called YogART. As well as she is Executive Director and Co-Founder of the non-profit Art is Moving and Art Break Day.

2016 - Present

Artemis Sacred Journeys lead with Mary Rockwood Lane, Art, Healing, Yoga, Spiritual, and Sacred Site Retreats in Tinos & Delos Greece. Goddess, Women Empowerment Retreats.

2012-Present 

Co- Creator and faciliator of Art 4 All People’s YogART Way. Lead life (art & soul) coaching, art workshops, intensive, and retreats. The YogART Way: Is an innovative tool for transformation and well being.At the heart of all of our healing arts (YogART) programming is a sense of empowering each individual to regain a sense of harmony, reverence, and balance, to awaken inner resources for healing and creativity.The YogART Way is a new language of transformation. It is holistic modality which weaves various transformative practices, such as breath, meditation, creative visualization, art making, yoga, movement,creative writing, coaching,and witnessing into one experience.

2008 - Present

Co-Creator of Art is Moving’s, Art Break Day and the Art Cart. Lead free public art making with 1000's of people. An global day of Art advocacy in communties around the world.  International Art Break Day and the ART cart- Facilitated free art making with thousands of people in the Bay Area.  For over 6 years I have Co-Founded and Managed the International Art Break Day sites in India, West Africa, Australia, USA, and Mexico

2006-2010

Pioneered Transformative Art Program at mental health institute in Oakland for SED youth ages 5-14. Inclusive of expressive art therapy curriculum and build bridges into the wider community through youth public art installations, community exhibitions, and gallery fundraising exhibitions. Lead art therapist and teacher for 100's of emotionally traumatized children.

Transformative Art Teacher/Mentor for At-Risk Teens, Teen Art Explosion Substance Abuse Program, Alternative High School, Rogers, AR

  • Developed and implemented a transformative art curriculum.

  • Used art mentoring as a tool for transformation to empower at-risk youth.
